  • Weekly ask individuals for feedback on your leadership.
  • Allow and encourage individuals to breath e.g. pet projects.
  • Give individuals Space i.e. don't always push.
  • Encourage, don't be the sceptic i.e. if you don't like the idea do not shoot it down immediately.
  • Give praise regularly, don't wait for formal reviews.
  • Resist micro-managing, it's ok to lose control.
  • Be Interested in the ideas, the excitement will generate ideas.
  • Incorporate humor.
  • Safe work environment. Make it safe to explore ideas.
  • Vision, be inspiring and motivated. Don't be afraid to adjust the vision over time.
  • Empowering. Open communication. Safety to fail, if there is an idea then let team try it even if you think it will fail. Clear roles.
  • Cooperation, create clear tasks and roles, identify skills, identify leaders in the team and let them lead.
  • Regular Recognition. Celebrate.
